WEEK APRIL 20th

This week we have been working on the second practice that I mentioned last week. We’ve already updated the teacher on our progress, and these are the activities we have planned to address the development of emotion management. Our hypothesis is that by choosing different colors and tapping into their creativity during the first two tasks, students will be able to authentically color a shared project.

For Activity 1, "Color your emotions," which runs from 9:30 to 10:30, the task requires students to choose a color that represents how they are feeling at that moment without knowing what the next step is. We will then give them one piece of a drawing that has been cut into five sections, and they will paint their specific piece using their chosen color; we are structuring it this way so that the drawing itself doesn't influence their color selection. Following this, from 11:00 to 12:00, we have Activity 2, "Sculpting the Internal Weather," where students will use clay or recycled materials to create a 3D artifact representing an emotion they find hard to handle, such as frustration or anxiety. Finally, from 12:15 to 13:15, we will conclude with Activity 3, "The Collective Mural of Empathy," where students will work in small groups to combine their individual works or ideas into a large mural that proposes a solution or a way to support a peer experiencing these difficult emotions.
